Hi guys ,
thumbs up for what you are doing, ICT conference from the list of contributers and my experience having attended the 2007, 2009 strathmore ICT conferences is indeed a good platform to propagate our the Wmke agenda ,having said that permit me to take a divergent view on the content of the two downloads , to me they are not as so rich in content ,picture this out ,our audience is purely who is who in the Kenyan ICT  ,Telcos ,government agencies ,ICT consumer groups ,who after the presentation they wanna be given time to ask questions ,i would suggest that we give a small intro on wm parent organisation, wmke ,programs we are undertaking ,and future programs ,then duel on the offline version ,coz its in line with the the of the conference '' ICT for Development :people ,policy ,practice'' ,on the offline version create a rich content why ????because it will be published in an ICT conference journal and will be available for public consumption, you guys can have time and check for copies of previous presentations at strathmore , or maybe someone should share the link ,
am available for further consultations on this subject ,o.w.s you guys are doing great
                                                                                                                                                                                             Branton .

Hey Oscar,

Inline with this year's theme for the Conference: "ICT for Development: People, Policy, Practice" along with sub-themes (found here: http://www.strathmore.edu/aboutus.php?id=186);  I think we should focus on Offline Wikipedia and Mobile Wikipedia which clearly have direct impact locally in relation to development. A mention of OLPC's XO laptops should also be a +

I especially relate to this sub theme "ICT for rural and urban development – contrasts or interaction?:" in relation to the offline work we've done so far

Though of course the presentation should start of as a general introduction to Wikimedia and then narrow in to the above. Sharing our experiences (e.g. through pics followed by brief descriptions) of how we've developed as a result of volunteering as Wikimedians. These are my thoughts.

cheers,
Alex

Slideshare also has some Wikipedia presentations. Sue, Jimmy and Stuart from WMF have all made presentations at TED -- in case you have a decent internet connection, you might want to watch their videos as well. In fact, I also have the slides that Sue made for TEDxDubai. Lastly, the Wikimania website is also full of presentations that you might want to go through.
