Hi, folks.

Are those of you working on WLM actually on the WLM mailing list[1]?  I think that's the best place to get technical help and advice about these issues.

Cheers,

Well, I think the commons page should act more of an organizing page rather than the advertising page. We were to initially have wikilovesmonuments.or.ke so I guess we can have the Wikipedia page Steve made serve that purpose, no?

So I've also checked out the WLM android app where Kenya isn't listed. I'm not sure how to go about getting monuments in Kenya on it but I'll poke around tonight and if it's something that need sometime to do (plotting coordinates) I can spend most of tomorrow doing that.

@Oscar, I'm around, was just a bit slumped but I'm coming out of it :)

Well I understand that the WLM is a commons project and I would also
wish that we have our competition page hosted there. I created the page
on Wikipedia with this in mind and my option to put it up on Wikipedia
was because am a bit more conversant with how stuff works there and
majorly the {{start tab}}. Wikimedia projects usually complement each
other and for this case we will be using Wikipedia to communicate that
there is a competition but the uploads are being redirected to commons
via the participate button at [1].

Norway have also set up their competition on the Norge Wikipedia, see [2]

Creating a redirect to this page on Wikipedia when users click on the
banners is also possible and a faster thing to do than importing
templates that might only be used once in their lifetime on Wikicommons.

It is still possible to migrate the page to commons if we get any of
Commons Administrators, Importers or Transwiki importers to move the
template. We can as well come up with another instructions page on
commons but I think most of the work is already covered in the Wikipedia
page.

Seems am defending the template so much but by doing away with it our
page will not look like [3]. If every one is ok with [3] I will migrate
the code to the commons page.
