Abbas,

I like your positive criticism on the minutes posted herein somehow.
But remember We cannot sit back quiet about some pertinent issues that concern our chapter because we were editting wikipedia.FYI, We typed as we talked and it seemed  a better chance since we never have any other meet ups. Do we?

No one, even you had mentioned anything about logistics to be laid down as we host Asaf in a months time. Or if that's not important please let me know.

Asaf's visit thread in the mailing list is the shortest in ranking if I compared to; the recent SA visit whose emails came in like it was a live chat , the WTN thread (do you even know it exists?),the Mombasa pilot, the Kakamega pilot and the Nyeri pilot were also 'well discussed'.

However,  I would like to inform you and other members who did not attend that the usual editting was done and probably in deeper detail.

* Chris n Sarah shall be looking for places and names in Nairobi then fill in the targets at our WTN goals wiki -I bet they can only do this only if they know how to edit wikipedia.

*Alex shall be filling in the scavenger hunt site with reference to the populated Wiki.

* Oscar L. And I shall write Kiswahili stubs about places with non- existant articles since members withdrew from swahili citing they are not quite comfortable with swahili language. Do you know why Swahili and not English?

Oscar took the newbie who attended through the whole induction and be informed he learnt very quickly and he has an article already. Let me lias with him then I would probably forward you his wikipedia username, for content moderation!

I am beginning to speculate there are volunteers who are more equal than others!

Hello,

I love the enthusiasm that JKUAT folks have. However, I hate to break it down to you that WikiSaturday is (as far as I'm concerned) not aimed to discuss matters pertaining WMKE but more importantly to teach members how to edit.

I know that the matters in your agenda are paramount, but in the general Wikimedia community, editing is a top priority: http://strategy.wikimedia.org/wiki/Editor_Trends_Study. Sadly, editing was not even explicitly mentioned in your agenda.I honestly do believe that editing should be number 1 on your agenda, since less than a fifth of the current members are Wikipedia editors.

Just a suggestion.
