That's correct: the workshop is for WMKE members, focusing on one of the topics I proposed.  Apart from that, I would be happy to have a public speaking event where I would either deliver an Introduction to Wikipedia or (my preference) follow one of _you_ giving an Introduction to Wikipedia with a talk of my own focused on the global aspects of the Wikimedia movement.

I am taking your advice to skip Mombasa as it doesn't seem we have enough traction there at the moment to make the trip there worthwhile.  I am still keen to get more input from this group -- beyond a visit to the Google office, is there a meeting with some other third party that we can arrange where I could be of service to WMKE?

Thanks,

   A.

Hi,

I wanted to reply/comment on this on http://wikimedia.or.ke/Visit_of_Asaf_Bartov_from_the_Wikimedia_Foundation, but before I do so, I'd like to get some clarifications:

Under the workshop title, Alex included a number of institutions. Are these workshops going to be held in all these institutions? AFAIK, the workshop is meant primarily for us (members of WMKE). I think that the venue title fits more appropriately under "public speaking" where Asaf will visit some institutions and give talks to the broader audience.

Secondly, please sign after commenting to avoid confusion. (This is slightly off-topic, but someone also commented on the bylaws discussion page without signing and I'm not sure whether it comes from ChapCom or a WMKE member.)

Abbas.
