Munene Nyaga and Zuberi Nuhu of Kamusi cha Changamaka on Q fm could be resourceful too. They are great champions of Swahili.
Another project I think we could explore is the Colleges and University Outreach. The KU visit proved that we realy need to reach out to the students and lecturers and spread the Wikimedia Gospel. So far we owe KU a talk with there students and a copy of the Wikipedia for Schools before May....
Regards to all,
Quite a resourceful discussion you had. Of great interest to me is the Swahili wikitionary, alias Wikikamusi. This would be very relevant, especially if we partner with the Kamusi Project and KTN Leo as well as other Swahili Dictionary Projects.
That was a wonderful job you did. Thumbs up--On Sat, Jan 22, 2011 at 8:34 AM, Sarah Osano <sarahosano@gmail.com> wrote:
Great report Abbas, thanx for the update of the meeting. I agree KTN
Leo will be of great help in the Kiswahili Wiktionary. If I may say
this, some schools actually make their students watch KTN Leo everyday
for them to enrich their swahili(like my former school). We should
work with them and any other source.
Regards,
Sarah.
