Greetings from the CityJS India!!
The CityJS India will be the first event in this World Online Series, and
will be taking place online for the global community and also in person for
the local community. The conference will last for 2 days, starting on the
18 and finishing on the 19 of February 2022. We will be covering a number
of topics, such as TypeScript, React, Vue, Testing, Frameworks, IoT,
NodeJS, Generic JavaScript, Machine Learning and other hot topics from our
beloved JavaScript. Apart from speaker sessions we will also have paper
presentations and a hackathon (a 48 hr hackathon) will be conducted on
11-13 March 2022.
As part of the CityJS India Hackathon we also have a Wikimedia Hackathon
for beginners to take contribute to the Wikimedia technology

Step1 : Colleges need to nominate themselves and send an email to
hackathon-india(a)cityjsconf.org with co-ordinator’s details(name,
designation, college name, email and Mobile no) from their college. This
person will act as our single point of contact for all further
communication. This email must reach us before 15th Feb, if there is no
SPOC contact then once can register as an individual but the mandatory
criteria is that you must be a college student(from relevant technical
background).
Step 2 : Registration for students from the college will be due by 28th

Step 3 : Based on the available slots for the Wikimedia Hackathon we will
select the students from each college based on diversity and domain
interest (we have a max of 80 seats available for the Wikimedia track).
We will have a workshop

(WMF) <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:SSethi_(WMF)> who will brief
through some interesting works around Wikimedia projects and allocate some
tasks(bug fixes, small script writings in JS, etc) for the student
developers which could be carried out during the 48 hour hackathon. We will
also invite Wikimedians who are interested to volunteer to mentor the
students and help them complete these tasks.
We will choose 3 final winners based on task completion and optimal
delivery and the prize winners will receive excited gifts and the attendees
will also receive the certificate of participation.
