Ankush, my suggestion is to create an account so others could see your
contributions.
And only edit counts doesn't help get featured. Hundreds of IP and
registered users are contributing to various projects, not known to the
community. Even someone with tremendous and impressive contributions may
not (want to) get featured. It's never about getting featured.
ansuman,
i don't know about coming years, but this has happened earlier.
interesting that this girl is being 'featured' after threatening community.
I don't know about "threatening", maybe that is why she was discharged. She
was a paid employee, maybe she had dibs, i don't know and care. It's sad
that novice users are being employed, and after they get discharged we
don't see them around.
Cheers,
Ansuman

how is Noopur Gujarati community member?
She has 24 edits on Gujarati Wikipedia.

From what I see she has managed to manipulate and pull strings within
wikimedia to get herself featured everywhere from here to
https://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Thank_You/Noopur_Raval
there are so many more deserving people from India why not them?
Ankush
Welcome to Wikimedia India Ankush. We will get to see
more such incidents in coming years. No big deal. Cheers.
