Support for languages like Assamese/Punjabi is very much required. 2. The inscript keyboard option should be there for all the languages. 3. Let the user select the language name first, the keyboad option can be given (phonetic/inscript) in the next screen. 4. A better user interface can be provided for the homepage. Hope soon someone will develop a device for this. Supporting all the Indian language scripts without any rendering issues will be a challenge. Just to let you know that Google has quietly added several layouts before deprecating the whole Virtual keyboard API.( These will continue to work).
