Dear All
During Wiki Advanced Training in June 2018 in Ranchi, the participants thought of a
common platform to cater to various needs of Indian communities, which may be a platform
to discuss things concerning multiple communities or tech needs, among several others. In
Ranchi, it was decided to include space for general discussion and technical support.
Meanwhile, the idea of the portal was under the formulation; in the subsequent the events
such as Wikigraphists Bootcamp, TWLCon (2019 India) etc. new suggestions came to include
the
tabs pertaining to graphics and resource exchange. After Indic Wikisource Community
Consultation 2018, "Indic wiki source Help Page" was started and we already know
Jay is doing an amazing job with the "Indic TechCom" for the tech needs. Though
the latter two have been created individually, we have linked it from this portal, and
bring all of them under one umbrella.
The portal is now ready with necessary pages, and it has been titled “Indic Wikimedia
Portal”.

Please go through the tabs, and post any questions you may have to the talk page. This
has been a long-standing need, it would only be successful if all use it proactively, and
also encourage our community members to do the same.
This is just a start, and if you feel there is a need for the page on a new theme, you
are welcome to start a discussion regarding the same. Eventually, it can become a one-stop
point for various needs of Indian communities.
Thanks and regards,
Jinoy, Krishna, Manavpreet, and Sushant.
