I'm the person who set up the page http://education.wikia.com/wiki/Wikipedia_For_Schools_Offline_Edition (user http://education.wikia.com/wiki/User:Nikhilsheth)
I have no issues with moving the page to wikimedia, and am all for it, but with some notes:
1. Please ensure the URLs are not blocked out. There are some links that may be identified as spam - having tinyurl.com and 4shared.com domains.
These are free services - that can be used for good as well as evil. In this case, I used the tinyurl link to redirect to the page so we can write it and spread it easily.
And I set up a mirror website using my free account on 4shared where the large Wikipedia for Schools package and the individual .zim file it uses are hosted in 100mb parts to make them easier to download on slower connections. I myself and others have experienced problems with the original 2GB+ files on tmp.kiwix.org - because of the huge sizes the download can come broken. Until there are torrents backed by a strong community of seeders, the mirror site is the only existing solution for slower connections.
2. The page was never created for being India-specific even if created by an Indian. Moving it to wikimedia.in? Better just make its Indian counterpart then; Ashlin has already started work on it: http://www.wikimedia.in/wiki/Projects:_Wikipedia_for_Schools/Indian_version
3: Please don't destroy the original when you're done, you can add a line at the top informing that its mirror has been created, and let the crowd decide.
As they say, "Don't fix something that ain't broken".
