Sending in an update from the Ahmedabad community: The Wikipedia Takes Ahmedabad photowalk is scheduled for Tuesday, 3 January 2012. As of now, we have received confirmation from 162 individuals on facebook itself! We saw a surge in interest from amateur and professional photographers in Ahmedabad after the Times of India and the Mirror covered our story yesterday. 93.5 RED FM played our pre-recorded interviews this morning.
Noopur has created a short-guide on the fly for uploading pictures on to the Wikimedia Commons:
Due to the sudden increase in the number of interested participants, we have decided to hold a pre-event meeting with group co-ordinators tomorrow, 29 December 2011.
