Hello everyone,

I am happy to bring to you the results of SVG Translation Campaign 2019 in India[1]. It was a 38-day long campaign to translate the SVG files like diagrams and maps into Indian languages for use of regional language Wikipedias. The campaign started on 21 February (International Mother Language Day) and ended on 31 March 2019.

During the last few weeks, the organisers have been working on cleaning up the categories, and delete unwanted files. With Phase 1 cleanup completed[2], we calculated the metrics and also the top contributors.

In total, 194 users from 19 Indic languages have created 2,655 SVG files with native language labels.

Top five languages are (in terms of the number of uploads):

2.) Marathi – 312 files
3.) Hindi – 306 files
4.) Malayalam – 262 files
5.) Kannada – 241 files

All the language categories can be seen at; https://w.wiki/3R5, I request community members to add these images to relevant articles and make the best of use of this enormous work.
