This is true, but it does not mean that unproven allegations form part of acceptable content, I think. If a person is accused, for instance, in court, that charge may be mentioned, but not giving the impression the charge is proven. Citations will be very important in such situations. Since only a handful of courts in India have gone online, it may be difficult to assert charges filed in some courts.

But they shouldn't be expecting wikipedia to do a whitewashing / PR fluff job on it. Sometimes, if they are actually trying to remove negative material about them (and there is a ton of it in RS) it leads to a backlash and more gets added to the article.
