We are excited to announce a 3-months long proofread competition which will run on Bangla Wikisource from September 1 to November 30, 2021 as a result of an ongoing GLAM collaboration between the Two Centuries of Indian Print (2CIP) project of the British Library (BL) and the West Bengal Wikimedians User Group (WBG). This is the second proofread competition under the GLAM project, the first one happened in March-April.

Under the project, 2CIP officials will be uploading public domain Bangla books from their collection on Wikimedia Commons and our volunteers will take care of the rest of the work from indexing, proofreading, transcluding etc. on Wikisource along with building their data on Wikidata. The prizes to the top 5 winners for this competition will be sent by WBG and BL will send digital certificates to each one of them.
