No I don't know about any of the legal formalities, hence asking do we need to contact them and ask whether they are willing...I mean, do they hold the copyright esp to photos of buildings also that are over 60 years old (the photos not the buildings).

That Facebook page has lots of beautiful images and not just of books.

Any way you can get them is good, but uploading them as DjVu files
would help transcribing them in Wikisource.
