Hello everyone, 

I writing this email to give you all some general updates about the ongoing SVG Translation Campaign, and also invite you to participate in the campaign if you haven't already done so, as we entering into the final week of the campaign.

For some of you, who are not aware, SVG Translation Campaign has been started on 21 February 2019 (marking the International Mother Language Day) and will continue until 31 March 2019. The objective of the campaign is to translate English-labelled SVG diagrams in English to various Indian languages.

The main category for creations from the campaign is at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Creations_from_STC19. Till date (at time of writing this email), we've translated 1800 files into 17 different Indian languages. Language-wise break down is as follows:

Assamese — 162

Hindi —  141
Kannada —  173
Maithili — 1
Malayalam — 230
Marathi — 230
Nepali — 37

As a part of the campaign, several onsite events were conducted in the following places:

Eramallikkara, Kerala
Jalgaon, Maharashtra

Bengaluru, Karnataka
New Delhi (2 events)
Kathmandu, Nepal
Guntur, Andhra Pradesh

Post-campaign, we'll first be cleaning up files, which will include checking the author, source, descriptions, categories, and other version templates, are correctly placed. This will be done until 21 April, and then we'll move on to deciding the final metrics and top contributors.
