As far as I can see right now we have two main sources: 1) Kasab's 2009
confession to a magistrate which states September and jail records which
state first seem to state September (referred to in April 18, 2009 Hindu
report and September 13, 2009 Indian Express report) and subsequently
July (February 25, 2011 Times of India) ; 2) the documents referred to
in the January 7, 2009 DNA article and the July 20, 2009 Hindu article,
which seem to indicate July 13th.
I've seen reports that chargesheet states September as well as those
that say it states July. At any rate, the chargesheet itself isn't the
most reliable source for this information.
