Me thinks we have a small community that is active. I feel it is not a good idea to keep forking lists.

We already have a problem with many community members not being aware of the India list.

Now another one?

I already struggle to keep track and manage membership of multiple lists.

That is my view. Lets hear from others too.

If we have an announcement list, we can suggest everyone to subscribe to the list who is interested in announcement from Indian communities like the Chapter , the A2K and various other cities and languages communities. Preferably, the mailing list should be only for one way communication.

Admins at this (Wikimedia India) mailing list shall subscribe the announcement mailing list with this email-id wikimediaindia-l@lists.wikimedia.org, so that it reaches mass.
