Yes, indeed, we do have some infesting of spam IDs within the public wiki.

Right now, I am in the process of clearing out the spam accounts. However, this has to be done extremely carefully without losing any of the actual edit efforts anyone may have spared.

At one point of time, we had more than 70,000 spammed accounts, but I was able to clean almost all of them in a few batches.
After that, due to various reasons, there existed a time, I had to be away from the Wiki(tech) housekeeping.

Just now, we do have some 5000+ spam accounts, which will be cleaned out in a matter of one or two days.

Thanks for the notification, Asaf.

Hi.

FYI (I'm not sure who admins the wiki, hence e-mailing the list), the chapter wiki seems to be getting actively spammed with fake new user accounts and commercial content on the user pages:

Not urgent, but someone should probably take some steps along the lines set out in https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Combating_spam

Cheers,
