Workshop -- “Become a Wikipedia Author”
*Purpose:*
• Understand what is Wikipedia
• Explore how Wikipedia works
• Learn how participants can contribute (i.e., writing) to Wikipedia
• Discover what they (students / faculty / institutes) can gain by editing
*Logistics:*
• You must bring along your lap top after enabling WIfi connectivity on Goa
University Campus (for students and faculty of the University only - others
will be provided machines with connectivity)
*Duration:*
• 2 hour workshop for December 12th and 13th from 2.30 to 4.30 p.m
*Participants*
• Maximum 30
• Students, faculty & staff & selected others
• Wkipedia requires that all participation should be purely voluntary and
in lieu of attendance, etc
