I’m writing to let you know about two open positions with the Wikimedia Foundation that may be of interest. Both positions can be done remotely. Even if the roles don’t interest you personally, please help us spread the word to anyone you think may be interested!
The Trust and Safety Team is looking for a full-time Trust and Safety Specialist with native command of a major Dravidian or Indic language and working fluency in English. The Specialist will help protect and empower people involved in or impacted by the Wikimedia movement by investigating and responding to threats to the safety of the Wikimedia projects. The Specialist will seek to enhance community health and facilitate the work of our community of international volunteers. Learn more and apply at Greenhouse.
The Movement Strategy Team is looking for a part-time Strategy Liaison from the Hindi community. The Liaison should have working fluency in English. He or she will help communities participate in the strategy process by coordinating, facilitating, encouraging, summarizing, and translating, among other responsibilities. The position is 20 hours/week, and lasts from February 2019 through December 2019 with the possibility of extension. Learn more and apply at Greenhouse.
