Hi friends,

I hope this email finds you and your loved ones well and in good health. Greetings from the sound logo project team.

You may have heard that in September there will be a global contest for the sound of Wikimedia, and you are all warmly invited to participate

Virtual voice assistants are growing more popular everyday and we need to explore ways to identify Wikimedia content, which is frequently sourced on these platforms, but not consistently recognized. We have great expertise in the movement when it comes to visual logos and photography contests, but not as much when it comes to audio ... but we sure love to learn. You can take a minute to look at 5 pictures side by side and pick the one you like–whether an awe-inspiring monument, a folklore tradition, a delicious feast, or a beautiful butterfly–but listening to 5 different audio files takes time. I'm confident that this global contest will challenge us with new and interesting parameters when it comes to sound and audio production.

So, whether you are musically-inclined, are an audio enthusiasts, love contests, already have a great sound concept of your own, or just want to be involved in this project, we would love to hear from you. Take a listen in our sound library for inspiration. We are also excited to invite you to an audio workshop at Wikimania with professional musicologists from MassiveMusic.

That's it for now. Looking forward to launching a new kind of a global contest with you in September.

Thank you for your time and attention,
Mehrdad
