I really appreciate the hard work and am hoping more users follow suit.
As for the copyright and professional guys issue, don't get tensed.
I see this kind of issue everyday, and I'm of the opinion that often it's us Amateurs who can capture things better thru our lenses for Wikipedia. It's what the picture conveys and NOT the picture itself that matters.
Not convinced?
Go thru Indian road network on English, you'll find two lousy, pathetic, images of mine on the page. And I didn't add them. The community did. My mediocre photography is appreciated by the Community The community appreciates hard work, [as a part of the community, I do too], and will continue to do so, because it is the net result of our efforts that the rest of the world sees.

Great job, Arnav. If another trip to the museum could result in published sources to write about it, or the Fort, then it can move from mention over here -
to a stub of its own.

Normally, museum directors keep copies of newspaper articles or magazines where their museums feature.

Hello everyone,

While on vacations at my hometown Jamnagar, I thought of contributing something to Commons, thus I decided to start with Archaeological Museum Jamnagar. The Museum is superb with different variety of exhibits of Jamnagar like stone excavations, rifles, canons, different pictures to show. Thus I decided to capture those and put on commons, I am still in midst of processing many more images and upload them, meanwhile I have created a Gallery on commons. Please do have a look at it and give your valuable suggestions/thoughts.
I was charged Rs 100/- by the Museum authority and also have the receipt of it, thus they allow to take photographs.
Also one interesting thing was going on in Museum, there was one other professional photographer taking close up shots with proper background and lighting of each and every artifact with the help of few other people of museum, on inquiring it, I came to know that Government has asked to digitize the whole museum, and thus he got one of the contracts to photograph them, but sadly all of them will be copyrighted.

Once again the link to my gallery is

Hoping to hear from all of you.
