Hi Jayantilal,
Thanks for your mail and for your concern.
First of all, I am not over-confident. I know about my own limitations very well. But, also I have complete trust in the organizing team, in which I am also part of. The team is working very hard to get every job done within schedule. Plus, I am not pushing Shrini for anything. I just said, we can manage and sort the images if they are uploaded for WLM, as almost every details has been planned thoroughly by the team. Of course, it is his choice to upload or not.
Secondly, regarding experience, no one is born with full experience right from the beginning. As Krishna rightly said in the previous mail, everybody has a "first time" to do things. Personally, I guess, I have been in the movement for quite a long time, but I am still learning everyday and gaining experience from any event or project, where I have been participating, that includes WLM also. I hope, the same is also true for the whole team.
Thirdly, I heard it from you for the first time that other affiliates have no interest in this competition. If that is so, then it is very unfortunate. But fact says otherwise. CIS-A2K is providing the prize money; WMIN members and community members have provided their inputs; CIS-A2K, Telugu community and others are working on the Wikidata entries of the monuments; maybe Telugu, Punjabi and Bengali communities will organize photo-walks soon; Tamil community has created their list of non-ASI monuments for photo-documentation this year etc.
Fourthly, we never claimed ownership of anything. I have no idea, what you are talking about. This year, no one came forward to actively organize the event in India till last week of July, so we decided to take the burden of organizing it, otherwise there could have been a high chance of India not participating this year. If someone came forward to organize it, then we could have concentrated on other priorities.
Best,
Bodhisattwa
