Excellent initiative.... we (
openaccessindia.org) were also thinking to have either SAARC
or South Asia group for Open Access... we have Open Access India, Open Access Pak, Open
Access Nepal... if others too establish communities and work for Open Access in South
Asia... that would be great...
For the OpenCon 2016 Ranchi, we would be having a session on Editing/Contributing to
Wikipedia and its projects.
Thanks

Subject: [Wikimediaindia-l] SAARC Mailing List
Hi,
During WikiConference India 2016, the chapter and user-group representatives from South
Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) held a short meeting on 6th August
evening.
One of the outcomes of the meetings was to create a SAARC mailing list. SAARC mailing is
the first attempt for SAARC Wikimedians to come on a common platform for discussions and
doing programs together.
The interested Indian community members may subscribe to the mailing list.
