Wikimedia Wikimeet India 2021 is going to start the day after tomorrow and we have some updates for you.

• The event will have the opening speech from Asaf Bartov, the title being "India: Looking back, looking ahead". Asaf has been observing and supporting Wikimedia efforts in India since 2009, first as a volunteer, and later as a Wikimedia Foundation grants program officer and capacity builder. In this talk, he will offer some thoughts on the Indian Wikimedia journey so far, and on the road that still lies ahead, from his perspective. • We closed the registration of participation yesterday. However, for the experienced WIkimedians, who have missed that deadline due to whatsoever reason, we have kept the option for instant registration at the last minute.
