Dear Wikimedians,

We are glad to see the contributions under Mula Mutha Nadi Darshan 2023 Photo campaign cum contest on Wikimedia Commons. The event is being organised in collaboration with various organisations working on the river issues. The members of these organizations have decided to extend the last date for image uploads from 31st July to 31st August 2023. The objective is to document the images of the floods during July and August months.

We have also identified that images on topics like - Citizens’ initiatives to save rivers, Human activities at the river, Rivers and festivals around rivers, and Pollution in the rivers - are not uploaded sufficiently. We request you upload these images and enrich the media repository about rivers on Wikimedia Commons.

We are glad to announce that CIS-A2K has started the Mula Mutha Nadi Darshan campaign cum contest on 15 May and will run till 30 June, which is the second iteration of Pune Nadi Darshan 2023. The contest is to document the Mula & Mutha rivers and their tributaries in the Pune district on Wikimedia Commons in the form of images and videos. There are other partner organisations Jeevitnadi, Ecological Society, Samuchit Enviro Tech, Nisarg Sevak and National Society, come together (with CIS-A2K) to organise this event to focus on specific water bodies the Mula & Mutha rivers and their tributaries.
