Hi all,

congratulations with the awesome result! Personally I feel that especially the number of uploaders is a great victory.

I found it intriguing to go through some of the Indian submissions. Relatively many people of the Indian participants seem to be protective and aware of their copyright, using watermarks (while clearly they have released it - so that is a big win!) and I think that some of the Indian monuments are extremely popular. There were some monuments with over 200 seperate submissions!

Now if you want to help still... that would be very welcome! The submitted images still have to be added to Wikipedia. As you may remember, lists of monuments have been created for each state (and sometimes smaller territories). Maarten Dammers (User:Multichill) has created a bot to identify photos of monuments in those lists that have no picture yet. You can find the list http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_India/Wiki_Loves_Monuments/Unused_ASI_Monuments_images here.

The list contains photos and a link to the list where the photo could be inserted (under the photo). The number under the photo is the identifier which is also used in the tables.

I found it most helpful to open the list in edit view, and process all monuments state by state. Then I would go to preview mode (to be able to compare images and choose the best if multiple are available), and every time I placed an image to a monument, I would remove all photos of that monument from Multichills page. At the same time I would insert it in the list after the image = . Remember: you only have to insert the filename, not the "File:" or any wiki markup. For example:
| image = Bull statue on Chamundesvari Hill in Mysore.jpg

Your help is greatly appreciated. There are about 8000 pictures to go through (hopefully this equals several thousand individual monuments!)

Best,
Lodewijk
