Hello,
Thanks for your comments Abhinav.
1) We have got 2 expressions of interest to host TTT this year so far. Having jury for city selection is a good idea.
2) TTT is not a conference, but it is more a training workshop with specific topics to be discussed, and often multiple sessions are linked to each other.

Thanks
Tito Dutta

Dear Tito, Pavan and A2K Team,

Happy to find that the community has started initiating their bids and maybe by the day's end there could be some more.  Irrespective of whichever community gets to host the event, the entire process of promoting community-led initiatives needs to applauded. There is no shadow of the doubt that this would promote off-wiki leadership within different communities.

A2K Team could also perhaps initiate

1.) Taking help of some senior and experienced community members in the jury process to make it more transparent and neutral.

2.) Inviting external resource persons via Call for Papers where the community members can submit an abstract for their presentations and the participants along with the larger community can reflect. Similarly, the A2K team members could also put up a brief for their sessions and the community can reflect, advise and suggest for the needful.

Again, I would like to re-iterate, this is a wonderful initiate undertaken.

My two cents.

Abhinav

Hi Tito,

I said 1-3 March because the event page said that the training should happen in end February or early March. I really want to attend this training and this is the only weekend in March that's free for me. Else, April is also good for me.

I'm also asking other Delhi members and then we may submit a proposal after consultation.

Best,
Japleen

Hello Japleen,
1-3 March might be too early for the entire procedure that includes village pump discussion, logistics etc.

Thanks

Hi Pavan,

I am interested to co-host it in Delhi on the first weekend of March from 1-3 March (Friday-Sunday), if other members from Delhi are also interested in co-hosting.

Delhi members, what do you say?

Best,
Japleen

Dear Wikimedians,

Train-the-Trainer or TTT is a residential training program that attempts to groom leadership skills among the Indian Wikimedia community (including English) members. Earlier TTT has been conducted in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. This year CIS-A2K is interested to collaborate with the community in hosting the event. Interested community members please check the following link: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/CIS-A2K/Events/Train_the_Trainer_Program/2019/Bids

If you have any questions, please let us know.
