Hello all,

This is a follow-up mail for the campaign commemorating the 125th birth anniversary of Subhas Chandra Bose. This 2-years long campaign has encompassed Wikimedia Commons, Wikisource and Wikidata, generating resources and reference materials for Wikipedians to improve articles on Subhas Chandra Bose and related topics.

We have uploaded 862 files so far on Wikimedia Commons which includes

pronunciation audio files of Bengali words related to Subhas Chandra Bose. See a file for example
photographs from a small museum in Kurseong district of West Bengal which happened to be a residence of Bose family, See a file for example (done)
scanned files of Azad Hind newspaper, which was the organ of the Provisional Government of Free India. See a file for example (almost done)
scanned copies of documents declassified by the Government of India and other governments like the UK etc. See a file for example (focus for this year)

There are also campaigns on two Wikisource projects

A proofread campaign on Bengali Wikisource on books written by Bose or written about Bose. See here (almost done)
A Wikiproject on English Wikisource on declassified Netaji papers. See here. (started this year)

West Bengal Wikimedians User Group is planning to conduct a series of events to improve free-content related to Subhas Chandra Bose on different Wikimedia sites. Today, on the 124th birth anniversary of Bose, we have inaugurated the initiative and will continue to work for the next one year.
