Hi,

This does not look like a real reason. Because there is no such thing going in the country which makes to think about deciding on a venue.

Probably CIS is thinking to decide on a venue depending on the number of participants close to a venue. But as Balaji rightly said, people are thinking of applying depending on the venue. This is a kind of Catch-22 situation. But I suggest CIS to announce the venue first.

Pavanaja

Thanks Balaji for raising this point.

We are in a process to finalise venue. Due to ongoing events in the country, we had to re-think our previous plans. We shall notify about the venue in 4-5 days.

Please finalize the location of training soon. Better if before the final date to apply. Many need to consider logistics, mobility issues, number of travel days before and after the training. It's hard to assume blind faith from applicants that they should be ready where ever the final location.

J. Balaji.

Thanks for pointing that out, It is generally the last date of the last month before announcing. We are correcting it to 31 December 2019. Upcoming notificationson village pumps etc.will have this information.

Hello,

Under selection criteria, I noticed this-

An editor with at least 800 edits on zero-namespace before 31 October 2019.

Why Oct 31, 2019? Since the notice has come out today, it can be till today or end of last month. I have a reason to say this. Many people got laptops and/or Internet connections as part of Project Tiger in Nov 2019. I am sure at least some have increased their edit count heavily due to this. Hence the cut-off date should be changed.

Regards,

Pavanaja
