Distinguished colleagues, friends, greetings!

I hope this email finds you all well. 

The time has come to put Movement Strategy into work and in the service of communities. Colleagues from the region are organizing a casual call for South Asian groups, Indian Wikimedians, and other enthusiasts on Friday October 30 @ 19:30 IST [1]. Please join us with your questions and ideas, or just to say hi. 

South Asia - both in terms of demographic and technological trends - is key for the future growth and sustainability of the Wikimedia movement. The 10 Movement Strategy recommendations [2] and 45 initiatives [3] have a lot of great ideas to guide us for the next 10 years. Right now though, we need to figure out what we should work on first in 2021. We are asking communities and affiliates to identify their priorities for implementation, as well as the required resources and capacities. In late November, we will all come together in global meetings to create a movement-wide implementation plan. 

Before the call on Oct. 30, think about: what is work that you're already doing that is aligned with Movement Strategy? What are priorities for you and your community in 2021? What resources will you need? What are things we should all work on globally?
