With great please we are announcing the 4th workshop of Odia Wikipedia and 1st Baleswar Odia Wiki Workshop in the sand city of Baleswar, Odisha.
Odia Wikipedia was one of the first 4 Indic initiatives of WMF, started way back in 2002. Though due course of time it has not reached the level few other Indic Wikipedias have reached, but recently the swift and interest for this Wikipedia has begun after the 10th Anniversary. The outreach has crossed over 3 cities so far. (Bengaluru, where the first ever Odia Wikipedia meetup happened and recently there was a meetup in the city, Bhubaneswar, where the first Odia Wiki Workshop was organised in the home state and Cuttack, which has seen the 3rd Odia Wiki Workshop.). Baleswar Wiki Workshop is going to be the 5th event of Odia Wikipedia.

A voluntary organization "Odia Bhasa Bikasa Andolan" has come forward to propagate the message among the youngsters and the literature and language conscious people of the city and include Wikipedia outreach along with their School Programs to mobilize school children for the development of Odia language.
Veteran Odia poet and Sahitya Academy awardee Brajanath Rath will be forally inaugurating the 2nd version of FAQ and Typing help Booklet.
