Hoi,
The InScript method for Sanskrit has been introduced on translatewiki.net.
It needs testing and you can test it by adding to the localisations for the
Sanskrit language. As you may know the Narayam extension supports three
languages: Malayalam, Bangla and Sanskrit. I understand that Junaid PV is
working on documentation that may enable you to understand the Narayam
framework.
We would love you to test the input methods for these languages at
translatewiki.net and we love it when more languages are supported by
Narayam.
Thanks,
GerardM

Since there are Tamil developers and speakers in this list, I invite
their attention to this blog post :
http://thottingal.in/blog/2011/02/26/tamil-collation-in-glibc/
Need some help from Tamil community on collation rules to fix a bug
pending for a long time in GNU C library locale data.
Thanks
Santhosh Thottingal
1. Till the Britsh Raj, Brahmins kept a large part of Indian society out of bounds from knowledge which was in Sanskrit. They had provisions to pour molten lead into the ears of non-brahmins (including all women) who even heard a word of sanskrit. knowledge contained in that language is now available in English and Sanskrit only symbolises tyranny. Do we need Wikipedia in Sanskrit with the support of govt funding?
2. Why cannt we have a wikepedia in Pali as well, the language which was used by Budha and which can give us an alternate view on life to that of vedic view?
Hi Tinu:
Thanks for posting this - yes, legal counsel and a risk assessment is
something we are actively looking at doing - a question, would the community
know if this has ever happened or threatened to happen earlier or is this
the first example?
Thank you.
Best,
Gautam

Hi list I have created this software and have been using this for a while..

Times of India in Bangalore front page article about the Karnataka budget says there is Rs 1 Cr for Sanskrit Wikipedia.
Anyone know anything about this?
Barry
Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry
Let us hope that this is not such a one.
What if this is actually meant for our Sanskrit Wikipedia ? Or possibly we
convince them it is worth for developing the existing Sanskrit Wikipedia ?
Let us not jump into conclusions and let us hear from the person who have
been invited today by Arunram.
( Another reason why people should be attending the Bangalore meetup today
