I hope you are all doing well.

I'm writing to share some exciting news. The Northern & Western Europe Regional Funds Committee https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Regions/Northern_and_Western_Europe is currently recruiting new members https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Committees/Committee_Open_Call/Northern_and_Western_European_Candidates, and I'd love your help in spreading the word within your networks.

The Regional Funds Committee https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Committees is the volunteer body that reviews General Support Fund applications and makes funding decisions for communities and affiliates across Northern & Western Europe. It's a meaningful volunteer commitment, and we're looking to bring in people who can strengthen what the committee does.

We're particularly hoping to hear from people who bring one or more of the following: a connection to German- or French-speaking communities; a native or fluent English speaker (UK or Ireland especially welcome); a younger perspective with newcomer or volunteer-engagement experience; expertise in AI, knowledge equity or information literacy; fundraising and/or strategic communications; public policy and advocacy; grantmaking and governance; or an equity-and-inclusion lens. Candidates don't need to match more than one, and several can sit in the same person.
