We welcomed a new member this meeting, Joseph Quinn.

User Group

Still no word on the user group application. SB will follow up

SE will make a case to the grants committee to retain all unused funds from WLM for use by the group for WiFo boxes, computers, printing, and travel to run events over the next 12 months

Wiki Loves Monuments

SB has updated the Dropbox file and forwarded it to the Department.

SB also updated the international competition’s press page with Ireland’s press

SE will clean up the monument data and send it on to SB to be forwarded to the Department

Edit-a-Thons

Following the event at Collins Barracks we have been asked to host another event in February

We need to do a better job targeting those who might want to attend these events

Future Events/Schedule

A planning meeting for 2015 was held and a tentative schedule is being created. A more definitive schedule will be released after the next meeting

A field trip to the Maritime Museum in Dún Laoghaire will take place on 18 December at 2pm. We will be exploring the possibility of running some edit-a-thons at the museum

This is the final meeting of 2014. The first meeting of 2015 will take place on Thursday 8 January at 6pm. If you would like to attend, either in person or virtually, please send an email to wikimediaireland@gmail.com
