Happy New Year!

Editing events in TOG Hackerspace

We are kicking off our monthly editing events in TOG Hackerspace on Wednesday 31 January from 7-9pm. Whether you are new to Wikipedia or an old hand at editing, come along for a chat with fellow Wikimedians! To get a reminder about this and other upcoming event sign up on the TOG Meetup page, or follow us on Facebook or Twitter.

Academia and Wikipedia: Critical Perspectives in Education and Research

This conference, the first of it's kind in Ireland, will be taking place in Maynooth, 18 June 2018. The call for papers is currently open, and will close on 28 February 2018. All of the details can be found here.

#1lib1ref

#1lib1ref (one librarian, one reference) is an international initiative to encourage librarians and information professionals to improve Wikipedia by adding just one citation. It runs from 15 January to 3 February 2018, and more details can be found here. If you have any questions about this, or want to get your library involved, do get in touch!

Art+Feminism

Art+Feminism will be returning in March 2018. Last year Ireland held one event in Galway, and this year we aim to build on that. Are you interested in helping hosting an event, or have a suggestion on how Ireland could contribute to this worldwide event? Get in touch with us! More details on the international campaign are on the main website here.
