Irish chapter would be a fantastic move and please let us know if there's anything we could do to support you in this - including any practical or financial help you might need to get started.

Just to let you know I was on a Dublin radio show last year talking about Wikipedia (WM-UK were the closest contact listed) - they seemed to have a very positive impression of Wikipedia.

We have talked about setting up a branch in Northern Ireland if/when we get a significant number of members there and would be great to cooperate on things. There are plenty of North-South funds available, particularly for language support and would be fantastic to put in for these to support Irish language Wikimedia projects.
