Wikimedia UK is the local Wikimedia chapter covering the United Kingdom. The chapter is incorporated under the name "Wiki UK Limited", using Wikimedia UK as an operating name. It was approved as a chapter by the Wikimedia Foundation on 12 January 2009. It is the second attempt at a Wikimedia chapter for the UK. The first attempt was not able to fully establish itself, and has been dissolved.
