G'day members of the board of trustees of the Wikimedia Foundation,

I write as a newly incumbent communications advisor / assistant to the
Chapters Committee, tasked with helping out administratively, and in this
case fulfilling a role which fell previously to Austin Hair, namely letting
you know that the Chapters Committee has reviewed and approved a proposed
structure for a new chapter. I hope to be in regular contact throughout my
tenure as a ChapCom advisor! Introductions aside, more formal information
follows;

After careful review of their bylaws and a lengthy process of discussion and
consultation, the Chapters Committee has
agreed<http://chapcom.wikimedia.org/wiki/Chapters_approvals/Wikimedia_Brasil>that
the newly incorporated Wikimedia Brazil meets every requirement for
recognition as a Wikimedia chapter.  We therefore ask that you ratify the
following resolution:

Per the recommendation of the Chapters Committee, which confirms that the
structure and bylaws of Wikimedia Brasil comply with the current
requirements and guidelines for future chapters, it is hereby resolved that:

The Board of Trustees officially recognizes Wikimedia Brasil as a Wikimedia
Chapter.
The Board of Trustees grants Wikimedia Brasil interim permission to use the
Wikimedia trademarks pending signature of the Chapters Agreement.
