Subject: Anouncing Lodewijk Gelauff as coordinator for the Wikimedia Chapters Meeting 2010 in Berlin
Dear Chapters,
I am happy to announce that Lodewijk Gelauff will act as the responsible project coordinator for planning the Chapters meeting in April 2010 in Berlin.
His main tasks include:
1. Coordinate the program and the agenda with other chapters. Agree on workshops, topics, speakers, roundtable discussions, etc.
2. Coordinate all chapters to send people to the meeting.
3. Liaise with the WMF about how the Board of Trustees meeting during the conference integrates into the chapters schedule and vice versa.
There is of course a lot of logistics here in Berlin to be taken care of (hotel, transportation, volunteer coordination, venue, catering...). This will be handled by our office in Berlin, not by Lodewijk, who will focus on chapters coordination and program planning.

Let me use this opportunity to outline the dates and time path again:
April 14-16: Developers meeting (this will not be handled by Lodewijk)
April 16-18: Chapters Meeting
April 17-18: Board Meeting
Lodewijk will send out an invitation for the meeting with a link to an application form for the chapter attendees asap. Also very soon, he will ask for program suggestions and the formation of a program committee.
I think at the end of February, we should have a rough idea of the topics to be discussed for chapter input.
Please start to discuss who will attend the meeting from your chapter now (if you haven´t already done so). March 26 is the latest for applications, but the sooner the better.
