"We've formatted this year's fundraiser to
address the shortcomings we faced last year. We are creating a
collaborative, and localized campaign where global involvement is key.
We recognize that banner messages that perform well in the United
States don't necessarily translate well, or appeal to international
audiences.
I am acting as the Foundation's liasion for the Portugese language
projects and asking community members to translate fundraising banners
that have been proposed in English, as well as suggesting their own
banners that will appeal to Brazilian or Portuguese readers and
editors. We've set up a meta site with proposed banners and comment
sections. The best community selected banners are being run in weekly
Thursday tests so we can collect some visceral impressions data to get
a general idea of messages that work and don't. (

Would anyone be willing to post something on the Portuguese Village
Pump for me asking for volunteers to customize and collaborate on
messaging on the meta page?"
