This is quite a common problem on lists where some folk (like me) are using
'gmail' - it has a feature where it hides all quoted text by default, and
threads the conversation very cleanly for you to follow - it's easy to
forget when hitting 'reply' to also go 'Ctrl A', then 'delete'
too.....
See [[w:top-posting]], which is the defacto standard. If you employ
this method of correspondence, it is almost impossible to forget to
trim the email you are quoting, thus avoiding needlessly sending great
walls of text to people.
Give gmail a whirl if you're so inclined -
otherwise my apologies for huge
long quotes that I've posted in the past...
Many regional people in Australia are still on dialup (i.e. broadband
isnt offered in their region), and using gmail does not offer them any
great advantage.
