Hi together,
during the Wikimania (2nd - 5th August) we need several streaming relays for
streaming the livevideos from the conference all over the world.
That's why we're looking for a relay server in Australia.
Could anyone of you provide a server where we can install and run icecast2?
We don't need a lot of RAM or CPU but a good and stable connection.
I'd be happy to get your proposals. If you don't have a server but know
someone... please let me know / ask the person.

My understanding of the "representation" bit is not so much that we
represent Wikimedia Foundation, but that we can offer a media contact if the
media wants someone in Australia to contact regarding a diff or whatever,
such as the Daily Telegraph thing a couple of days ago. Also if Jimbo or
whatever is coming to Australia and dealing with media there'd be someone
here to look at his itinerary and interviews and check articles for those
people or personalities in case there's any room for embarrassment, such as
the Ellen Fanning business.
cheers
Andrew
