Please join Wikimedia NYC for our Members’ Meeting <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Election_2023> on September 20, 2023. The Members' Meeting is similar to other WikiWednesday meetups, except that its primary function is to elect a new Board of Directors.

We will elect five or so board seats. After being elected, those elected can potentially appoint more seats.

If you've been active in the chapter and looking for ways to deepen your engagement, consider putting yourself forward! If you know someone who you think would be a good fit for the Wikimedia NYC Board, encourage them to self-nominate, too! The deadline to nominate yourself is September 13.

Voting (open to all chapter members) will be via a secure third party service, and will be possible both online and in-person, in a period starting a couple of days before. Your email address will be required to vote in order to validate members, but your vote itself will be anonymous.
