Dear New York City Wikimedians,

I am excited to announce that there are three Art + Feminism Edit-a-thons
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/ArtAndFeminism> being
organized in the New York City metropolitan area for the weekend of
International Womens Day: Brooklyn Museum
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/ArtAndFeminism_Brooklyn_2015>
(March 7th), MoMA
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/ArtAndFeminism/MoMA_2015>
(March 7th), and Babycastles Gallery
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/ArtAndFeminism/Babycastles_2015>
(where we held the December meeting), (March 8th).

We are working with multiple organizations to secure enough attending venue
volunteers for these events with a special focus on MoMA as this will be
the largest NY event (250 capacity) and have already confirmed a handful,
including Wikipedians trained at our "Train-the-Trainers
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/ArtAndFeminism_Training_Feb2015>"
events, held over the past few months.

But we can’t do this without New York City Wikipedians and we hope you will
join us to help work one-on-one with event attendees and offer other
in-person Wikipedia support.

If you are able to come to the events on March 7th and/or 8th please email
me back and RSVP as we are trying to get a count of volunteers before the
date. If you know which event you will attend, or could go wherever needed,
let us know that in your email as well. We are also looking for people to
Tweet about the event, so if social media is an interest of yours, you can
include this on the email as well.

Thanks again for your continue support. We are super excited about the
events gearing up for International Women’s Day weekend. After the event at
MoMA, we will also be having a reception with cake and light fare to thank
everyone for coming out.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Best wishes,

Dorothy Howard + Siân Evans + Michael Mandiberg + Richard Knipel

Hi Dorothy,
So I was planning to go to MOMA on the 7th but seeing as how there is now a
Brooklyn Museum date, I will likely do that instead. I will however double
check with the AfroCROWD ppl who told me they would attend MOMA and see if
they will come with me to BK museum instead.

For now I am RSVP'd on both pages until I sort it out.

Best,
A
