Hi Wikimedia NYC!
Greetings from CAT Lab, which does collaborations with the Wikimedia
movement to study online behavior and help improve online spaces!
One of CAT Lab’s contractors is offering contract work to classify some
data from Wikipedia
<http://docs.google.com/document/d/1RqP70XFmL2snHJ6EKpKlufNVs_uZwued6EW0wZoy…>
as part of a project to study risks to people who appear in Wikipedia
biographies ($16-24hr). It is open to people who can be contractors on a
1099 basis, and Ed would be thrilled to work with people who already have
substantial internet research and Wikipedia understanding. International
contractors in countries with a tax treaty with the US should work fine.
Also, we are planning to use some of the information we receive to help
improve the quality of Wikipedia biographies, so keep an eye out for more
news on that too!
All the best,
--
