Do we have any history and cultural heritage practitioners, like public historians; museum, historical society, and historic site workers; or other history practitioners, among our North Carolina Wikipedians?
WikiEdu is offering a free series of its WikiScholars courses in partnership with the American Association for State and Local History. These courses broaden your skills and boost your confidence in contributing to Wikimedia. The online courses run from mid-January to mid-March.

If you're on the fence about whether or not you "qualify," I'd encourage you to go ahead and apply if you have experience or education in history and cultural heritage, even if you're retired, between jobs, etc. And if you're already fully confident in your editing skills, consider passing this opportunity along to a colleague -- it would be delightful to have more folks sharing North Carolina history and culture on Wikipedia!
Yours,
Jennifer
