International Women's Day, Wikipedia editing workshops and Wikipedia and AI For your diary (and for information): Read about Wikipedia and Artificial Intelligence. https://thinking.is.ed.ac.uk/wir/wikipedia-and-artificial-intelligence/ Wikipedia is now 24 years old so how does it respond to the brave new world of AI? Learn how to edit Wikipedia in our monthly hybrid workshop this Friday 28 February https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/imagine-a-gender-equal-world-help-write-women-onto-wikipedia-tickets-1215380197889 from 1pm-2pm and then Write and PUBLISH a new Wikipedia page of 50-100+ words from 2.30-5pm. Not everything is online. Far From it. So a little #KnowledgeActivism appearing in Google's top results is really impactful. Our International Women's Day event will feature a Wikipedia editing event on 1-5pm 7 March 2025 https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/imagine-a-gender-equal-world-help-write-women-onto-wikipedia-for-iwd-tickets-1261534667149 to add more brilliant lives & contributions of women online.
Hope you can join us at one of these or all events! All welcome.
Best wishes,
