Hi Crystal,
Thanks so much for this exciting update! I’ll need to check whether I can make it to Charlotte that day, but I will certainly try. I’m also CCing this to our mailing list to see if any of our other members can make it to the event.
A physical signup sheet sounds like a great idea! I think showing a QR code that takes people to our mailing list website [1] during the presentation would be really helpful in making it easy for anybody at the event to get in touch with us afterwards. Having one of us speak at the event would of course be perfect — hopefully we’ll know who can make it to the event pretty soon!
Please let us know how we can help get the word out about this event. We’re working to set up a mass message to the participants and supporters on our user group page [2] and I assume you’ll be setting up site notices, but if there’s anything else we can do to help, please let us know!
Cheers, Gaurav

Hi Gaurav,
I hope you are doing well! Just wanted to circle back here with details for our next Wikicurious event. Wikicurious: Rewriting the Canvas on Wikipedia is happening on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 5-8pm at the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art in Charlotte, North Carolina. More information, including the event description and program agenda can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Event:Wikicurious:_Rewriting_the_Canvas_on_Wik...
We'd love to have you (or another member of the NC usergroup) come and speak for a couple minutes at the top of the program about the usergroup, and how folks can join. We can also have a physical sign-up sheet at the event if that is helpful for you.
We'd also love it if you could please pass the invitation along to members to come as attendees, and also as experienced Wikieditors, who can walk around during the Edit-a-thon portion and help any guests who have questions as they edit. For the folks who have more experience editing and want to volunteer to help others, please just flag those usernames for us so that we can ensure they are given the correct badge upon arrival.
Please let us know if you are available, and if you have any questions!
Thank you, Crystal

Yay! We don’t really do RSVPs, so we won’t know until the day. But one person has e-mailed me to say he’ll be there next Tuesday, and we usually get 2-5 people show up at our monthly meetings, so that’s probably what we’ll see next week.
Cheers, Gaurav

Thanks, Gaurav! We can definitely include your mailing list website sign-up at the event.
Hope you and others can make it! We'll be setting up a central notice banner next week, and will keep you all posted on any other updates.
Let us know if you have any questions in the meantime.
